The Hispanic Coalition goes pink

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And the Hispanic Coalition joined today, Thursday, October 21, in celebration of the "Pink Out Day" of the Saint Mary Hospital Foundation to raise awareness about breast cancer.

The Hispanic Coalition, the RIBA Aspira Career Academy, and the Industrial Training and Management Institute (IMTI) wore a pink Saint Mary's Hospital Foundation T-shirt to raise awareness and funds for the Breast Detection Fund. The Saint Mary's Hospital Foundation annually funds breast screenings for hundreds of women in the Greater Waterbury area who would not otherwise have access to these procedures.

Thanks to the Waterbury Police Department for supporting this initiative.
